Prayer when in aguish...

NIV
The troubles of my heart have multiplied; free me from my anguish.

The parallel verse to this in Psa. 41:12 refers to God's presence again. God's presence in our lives does so much that we cannot do for ourselves. We only gain this when we wait on Him in prayer.

Psalm 41:12 As for me, You uphold me in my integrity, And You set me in Your presence forever.

Proverbs 25:28
He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.
Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control.
