CHURCH SHOULD BE THE HOSPITAL FOR SINNERS

THIS IS SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT... THIS IS A REAL TESTIMONY.

"When I am late to church, people turn around and stare at me with frowns of disapproval. I get the clear message that I'm not as responsible as they are. When I am late to Alcoholics Anonymous, the meeting comes to a halt, and everyone jumps up to hug and welcome me. They realize my lateness may be a sign that I almost didn't make it. When I show up, it proves my desperate need for them won out over my desperate need for alcohol."

[I have updated this today - March 11, 2009]
This is the first thing we heard at Christ Tabernacle in Herrick, IL the first time we visited. Such a different and encouraging view of things than the church we left.

God's Promise to My Family

We heard this in Church yesterday. It's A promise to believers for restoration.

Job 14:7-9

For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. (8) Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; (9) Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.
